My breath is getting heavy, my fingers are cramping up and my brain is going to explode. I need to shoot. I need to shoot!!

Luckily I get a call. Australian Musical Director, Singer and Songwriter Darryl Beaton wants a new clip, but he doesn't have much time. Infact he has a 90 minute window.

Hmm.. To create an online ad for a flooring company specialising in bamboo products and coating. Awesome!! However, the only thing that came to mind when thinking of bamboo was sugar cane and pandas. hmmm- back to the drawing board. Alex had the great idea of featuring the owner on the ad to give it the true genuine feel. After he (Ken) was the best person who knew the most about the product.

So Al approached me with a job; to film  a conference….a small gathering…a meeting…a product launch…with 10 people…35 people.. one key speaker…at least 3 key speakers! SIGH!!

I film using the Canon 7D. My favourite lens in the 35mm. I can not be parted from this lens and I have resorted to contorting myself into impressive positions  to get my 'shot'. I edit using Final Cut Pro v7 and again- I can not be swayed.

From the age of eight, I knew what I wanted to do with my life. I was watching a movie and a man sat down in a chair and on the back was printed the most beautiful word. A word that would later prove to haunt, challenge, drive, motivate, perplex and ultimately have me believe I was clinically insane; DIRECTOR. Wow- even writing it sends to me a place of small delights.
